Stone pillar with wood column on top

I'd like to build a stone pillar about 2 ft square, 3 ft tall, and place a 18" square tapered wooden column on top of it.  The total height would be about 9'6".

Any ideas how to accomplish this?

You might be able to find what you need in the library:

 

 

There are many styles to choose from.  If you can't find what you need, Robert has shown you how to make one.  Don't forget to add it to your user library so you can use it again if needed.

Thanks for everyones help, the Library did the job.  I never knew it was in there.
