Scott,

How is the Flare Tool not working for you?  Are you using the edit handles after selecting that tool to adjust the ends of the stair?

Yes I am.  but the flare option only lets you go so far.  if you pull it too much, it rounds it.  Need to go from 6' wide to 9' wide.

maybe not.  I want a nice straight line from 6' to 9'.  it keep wanting to curve them. is there a way to turn that option off?

Try using the technique Dennis mentions in this thread.  I think its probably the best option...

Winders don't work.  You would think Chief would make this a lot easier.  The stairs don't turn which is what I can do with a winder.  I just need to angle each step.

Winders will automatically cut to the walls...

ok.  I'll have to play with that.  What level is your deck on and what level did you build the invisible walls.?

Doesnt really matter what level you build on as long as your height are set correctly.  The stairs and walls should just be on the same level as each other.  Also...

You don't necessarily need to use invisible walls.  You could use any wall type (visible or not and displayed or not).  You just need to have walls of some sort in order to utilize that automated winder behavior.

I have designed a pergola and a deck. I cannot get the terrian to show right. It needs to be zero of level at back of deck by pool deck and slowly slope down to a bayou. it needs to be 36" to grade at edge of outer deck Then a stair going down to the end of stair which is around 5 fr lower that top of deck. I have not did much terrian and would appreciate your help. This is just a remodeling and adding a deck from the pool.

      Thank  you,

The living room offers a peek to the upstairs living area via the stairway. The glass panel railings and open concept design create a mechanism for the big windows on the first floor and the high shed windows on the 2nd floor to collaborate on the sharing of light and air between floors.

I am stuck on this one. I have a railing at the top of the stairs that I can't seem to get rid of. When I delete it the stair opening disappears. When i re-add the stair opening the railing across the top comes back.

Is there a way to make stairs that go down rather than up? I'm trying to create a one-story home with stairs down to the basement, however I have no desire to create the basement level. Is this something that I'll have to do in order to get stairs going down?
      Help!
