MC_Florida
Hello all ....... can anyone help me or please point me in the right direction. I need to put 1x4 furring strips at 16" o.c. on the bottom of the trusses to fur down the drywall to match an existing ceiling height completed in the same manner. I'm using x8
Chopsaw
Depending on the complexity of the plan you might just draw some psolids in elevation view and extend them in floor plan. Draw cross boxes in your section layout view. If you need more help send me a PM.
DavidJames
I'd just use general framing and then adjust the ceiling structure:
Chopsaw
Yes the general framing is faster and provides an automatic cross box if your ceiling is flat.
MC_Florida
OK the general framing is working I just need to get through the ceiling structure adjustment. its lifting above the block walls. guess I need to play with the numbers some more. Thank you for the guidance
Chopsaw
Just add a "Insulation Air Gap" layer to the Ceiling finish (J) layer above the drywall in the Room Specification DBX on the Structure tab.
