Skip_D
Hi All, working in x9. Is there a way to put countertops on a layer separate from cabinets? I realize custom counters have their own layer but would like auto counters to have their own layer as well. thanks, Skip
Alaskan_Son
They're already on their own layer by default. It's a layer called Cabinets, Countertops. The one thing to be aware of is that you cannot turn the cabinet layer off without also turning off the automatically created countertops, so...if you want to display only the automated countertops in a particular layer set, your best bet is probably to change the line style for your cabinet layer(s) in that particular layer set to the invisible line style.
Skip_D
You're right, counters do have their own layer. I meant to ask if there is a way to turn off the cabinet layer while leaving counters visible. I'm not sure why the counter turn off even if their layer is left on???? It's a mystery. thanks. Joe_Carrick
There are basically 2 ways to accomplish that: Use Custom Countertops and put them on a separate layer Use a Layer Set where the Cabinets are displayed as a "blank linestyle" and maybe set the Cabinet Layer to "locked"
