digitecht 0 Posted December 20, 2016 Hi All I have come across this several times now and i am wondering what others have done for a compliant handrail for a stair in a public building. Here in Melbourne, we are getting more stringent about this and i do not believe CA can nominate a handrail that is shaped like the attached picture. The only solution i can think of is to have a moulding polyline in elevation of the stairsection, I know the new stair tools is coming out in X9, but i don't think it has been requested........ Maybe we need to put this into requests?? and then maybe it won't make it till CA XXV.... :-) Regards Frank
rlackore 407 Posted December 20, 2016 You can get close by using the Stair Specification>Handrail>Handrail at Wall Options tab. Input your desired extensions and add returns.
Richard_Morrison 447 Posted December 20, 2016 Yes, the stair handrail should give us the option to extend the bottom of the handrail beyond the first tread, AT THE SLOPE OF THE TREAD, before turning horizontal.
