digitecht
Hi All I have come across this several times now and i am wondering what others have done for a compliant handrail for a stair in a public building. Here in Melbourne, we are getting more stringent about this and i do not believe CA can nominate a handrail that is shaped like the attached picture. The only solution i can think of is to have a moulding polyline in elevation of the stairsection, I know the new stair tools is coming out in X9, but i don't think it has been requested........ Maybe we need to put this into requests?? and then maybe it won't make it till CA XXV.... :-) Regards Frank
rlackore
You can get close by using the Stair Specification>Handrail>Handrail at Wall Options tab. Input your desired extensions and add returns.
Richard_Morrison
Yes, the stair handrail should give us the option to extend the bottom of the handrail beyond the first tread, AT THE SLOPE OF THE TREAD, before turning horizontal.
