Clemsongrad 0 Posted December 17, 2016 I'm a bit confused about the dimensioning tool in two situations. In a laundry alcove when I use the interior dimension tool I assume it should measure face of drywall to face of drywall. What I get is 7' - 10", but the arrows go right to the stud. In the alcove I have a washer and dryer and a utility closet. The dimension arrows show a correct 2'-3" wide for both the washer and dryer, but the arrow stops short of the symbols and also go to the stud. so when I add up each of the three dimensions I get 7'-8". See attached capture.
AlwaysEastern 3 Posted December 17, 2016 Based on your image - it looks like your three dimension string has gaps between the washer and dryer and the right wall. Check your dimension defaults. You may have it set to pick up the sides of the fixtures, furnture, etc.
Kenoeightspot 80 Posted December 17, 2016 The 3'-2" dimension appears to be a "point marker" dimension. try again with end to end dimension.
michaelgia 12 Posted December 17, 2016 Looks like he accidentally used the point-to-point dimension tool because I see point markers all along that dimension string.
