  1. I don't think it is the system, at least nothing else is behaving badly including X6, 2020 (at least no worse than normal) Turbocad, Envisioneer but what do I know.

I'll try a plan in X7 from scratch and see what happens.

I'm wondering if it is some conflict- will pay attention to what else is running to see if I can isolate something.

2020 has a utility to delete "temporary files" that is pretty essential when playing with that. I've been using it to try to stay ahead of problems. It's not as through as CCcleaner but has always helped and it's one click.

I recall the undo was an issue when X6 first hit the public, this is about the same. The crashes are what spook me. Only one yesterday- same plan- was open for maybe 1/2 hour. Perspective, switch to vector, change layer set, detail from view-poof. Opened and repeat- no problem.

Noticed a few other quirks I'll post separately.

I have been having the same issue for some time now.  I have noticed that when I zoom in and out with my mouse wheel it seems to happen more than not.

  2. I never really like the blueprint version.  I have changed all my default to a font call Handdf Double or Grafite Std.  Much better look to my drawings from being an old school drafter like I am.  Now if someone could just help me figure out how to change the library symbol of of an outlet jack to look more like the ones I have been using in AutoCAD for years I'd be a happy camper.

  3. Why you knucklehead.......  go to sheet two of layout..... open LAYOUT PAGE INFORMATION and put  "P-#" in the LABEL box....  and all will be well.I

Well I feel like a knucklehead too, I could not for the life of me figure out why the page numbers where not showing up.  If you have a template and it had all the info on it the page numbers should show up atuomatically.  For the life of me, it just bugged me until once again members like D. Scott Hall  ;-) answered the question I needed to know.

This is my first real try at completing a set of construction documents with CA and getting used to the layouts now is my next big hurdle.

    Thanks guys.

  4. Updated X6 and lost all my toolbars and won't let me import them either.  Talking about loosing wasted time when I am busy as hell. very Frustrating but hopefully I can say "I love you too, Kirk" with all the love that is going on in this feed.

Here is the error message that I got when I tried to restore my toolbars.

    C:\p4sync\dev\Releases\16\chief\source\Toolbar\ToolbarEventHandler.cpp(207): Error #272032496

"Error loading toolbar configuration: "Default Configuration.toolbar""

  5. I am having a problem with my system crashing. Ever since I have upgraded to X6 the program crashes my system numerous times. I have tried closing all additional programs and running only CA-X6 and it still crashes. It does seem to be during the same instances of either during a 3d overview or scrolling in and out with my cursor.  Obviously there is a problem with X-6 if I am not the only one having an issues as well.

Has anyone else had this happen to them as well?  I can say that I don't think that it is my computer, I have a fast up to date computer.

  7. Thanks to all who have replied this has been a great help.  I have been a die hard AutoCAD Designer for years and want to get away from it for the most part so this is a learning curve and I am still trying to make some Denero in the process.  Changing the material class helped bigtime as well as putting the light behind the camera.

    OP out

  8. These are my settings.  I don't have a problem with overheating or dust as I am very meticulous and clean my machine all the time.  I have seen better renderings by Wendy who says that she runs the Raytrace and it only takes her a max of 2.5 min.

Also why is is so hard to create a custom railing.  In this staircase I had to create to lower stairs just so one can extend outside the wall.  Then when I to create a railing it messed everything up and I just had to make my own.  The railing issues is a big deal to me that I think CA needs to fix and get right.

  9. I seem to have been having an issue with X6 crashing my system.  It seems to be only happening while I am running a Raytrace but on other occasions just opening an item an modifying it.  Has anyone else had any issues with X6 crashing?

  10. Kirk, I too am having this issue along the Raytrace taking too long.  I understand that to reduce the time I can save just the area that I want to Raytrace and delete everything else but doesn't that negate the point.  I am doing a simple kitchen Raytrace no Photo mapping and after 10 passes or 10 min. it still has not completed the Raytrace.
