  1. Yes, definitely seems like a bounding-box issue. Hopefully support can clarify it.
  2. Try adjusting the symbol’s X-axis origin/offset rather than the bounding box. Keep the bounding box based on the 10" shaft for scaling, then center the symbol’s insertion point on the shaft. This should prevent the 1½" offset while preserving the cap and base proportions. Regards
  3. Hello everyone, I’m an Architectural Designer offering reliable remote Chief Architect drafting and design support for residential projects. I can assist with: • Floor Plans, Elevations & Sections • Construction & Permit Drawings • 3D Modeling & Photorealistic Rendering • Interior Elevations & Details • Remodeling & As-Built Plans • Redline Revisions & Design Development Whether you need extra drafting support during a busy period or help completing a specific project, I’m available to assist with professional, accurate, and timely work. Email joshuanyambisa14@gmail.com Regards
  4. It sounds like a plan-specific setting or framing layer issue. Since wall framing works correctly in a new plan, I’d check the shed’s wall framing settings, wall type, and framing layers first. If those are correct, the migrated file may have a plan-specific issue.
  5. In X12, I’d first create a 4' × 4' floor opening at the proposed location, then use the Stair Tool to create/adjust a spiral or curved stair to fit. If the Stair Tool doesn’t give the exact 4' diameter you need, use a 3D spiral stair object and keep the floor opening separate. Before finalizing, check headroom, stair clearance, framing, and the 10' floor-to-floor height. My thoughts Regards Josh

  7. Hello Juliana, I’m interested in the Kitchen Designer opportunity. I have experience with Chief Architect, including kitchen layouts, cabinetry, and built-ins. I’d be glad to share my samples and discuss the opportunity. Best regards, Joshua joshuanyambisa14@gmail.com
  8. I’d recommend setting the foundation level to match the Level 2 structure and using a separate foundation plan for the garage/porches. This should allow Chief to generate the required foundation walls correctly.
  9. Yes, I’ve experienced something similar today. After applying for a job opportunity, I noticed that my profile received downvotes shortly afterward, including from people I have never worked with or had any professional dealings with. I find the timing concerning, especially when the votes do not appear to be connected to any actual client experience. I believe ratings should reflect genuine interactions and professional work rather than affect someone’s opportunities based on unrelated activity. It would be helpful to understand how the voting system works and whether the moderators can review unusual voting patterns to ensure the system remains fair for everyone.
  10. Dear Amber, I’m very interested in providing Chief Architect X15 training for your design team. I have extensive professional experience with Chief Architect and residential construction documentation, including as-built plans, demolition plans, detailed floor plans, custom layer sets, schedules, electrical and lighting plans, interior elevations, sections, 3D modeling, and complete layout/document production. My training approach is structured and practical, focusing on teaching your team a consistent workflow that they can apply directly to your firm’s projects. I can tailor the curriculum to your existing standards, starting with the fundamentals and progressing into more advanced construction-document production. I’m available for remote training and would be happy to discuss the training schedule, number of team members, and your preferred format. I can also provide my rates and examples of relevant work. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to the opportunity to help your team become confident and efficient in Chief Architect X15. Best regards, Joshua
