  1. Thanks Shane! I learn something new every session and you guys make it all manageable. Best to all!
  2. Gents, Thank you all for your input and support on my Chapel plan. Attached are two images of the second draft for the client to review. Will keep you all posted.
  3. In my humble attempt to create a church steeple, I am having an issue with one wall not presenting correctly. I was able to place a roof just fine but why is my wall missing? The plan is attached. Thank you CA Brain Trust! Chapel 4.0.zip
  4. Latest version with New Bell Tower.
  5. David, Thanks for pointing out my oversight on the "baselines" and of the course the video explaining it all. You did a great job in short order interpreting my design objective for the roof. I've done as good a job as I know to do to correct the model. DSH - Your tip on the wrought iron balusters did the trick. Thank you! Design points: (Revised Model attached) David, the gap in the front hip needed to be moved in as terminates at the wall and does not cover deck. I raised the Baseline of the 1:12 hip to 335 and lowered the 6:12 Fascia top to 332 so the tile will blend into the ridge of the hip. (Hope that made sense) I used 1/2" x 21" Slabs to make up the Stucco Fascia around the 2nd floor beneath the roof overhang. Much of which will be Steel I-beams and or box beam. Engineering is currently reviewing the layout. (See attached photo) I've installed a door in the East Gable wall but need some help to place a shallow balcony. It's all a façade but I need to show it. You will see (Annoset - A4 FLOOR PLAN 3RD) where I attempted to place a Balcony ROOM and a Deck ROOM and now all I have are ATTIC walls that won't go away. (See attached RAYTRACE- notice the black garbage in the RT. No idea what that is) Once I get past Engineering I can complete the rest of the project. 34000 SQ FT Venue 1.2.zip
  6. Guys and Gals, I'm having some difficulty with the attached plan and would very much appreciate your thoughts, feedback and assistance to address the following: Roof planes not aligning properly - 1/12 hip roof on 2nd floor surrounding a 6/12 Full Gable Created a 3rd floor so I could add a fuax door and balcony on the large gable wall on one side and a HVAC nook on the other. I have the HVAC nook in place but not without pull and dragging walls around in 3D (not the proper way to do this I know). But not sure if this is the correct approach to take for this task. I have a lot of Steel (RED IRON) super structure underneath the walls that I think is slowing down my system with this plan. Not sure how else to manage this process and would like your advise. Thanks again for your professional support. Venue 1.1.zip
  7. I created a curved set of stairs (correctly or not) and when they attached to Railing Wall, one portion is missing. There basically three staircases. One from the ground to the landing where it splits off into two up around the fireplace and on up to the balcony railing. The plan is attached someone would mind taking a look. I also don't like the way the interior stair at working either. They cut into the room behind the staircase and just aren't cooperating. It will make sense when you see them. Thanks for your feedback, Venue 1.zip
  8. Missing Handrail

  9. You rock! I also added, correctly or not, a wall on the second floor the full length of the open below Chapel area in order to accommodate MEP. In both sides. The problem with that approach is there is no ceiling beneath it so I placed a soffit. Any thoughts on that? Thanks again,
  10. Dear Guru's, I've attached my plan and have the following issues. No Upper level Attic walls over second floor rooms No exterior attic walls above second floor open below area. I'm confused. What did I do wrong? Thanks for your assistance. Chapel.zip
  11. Finally got the model to covert to. Symbol and onto my terrain plan. Will see in the AM if it hasn't crashed again. Thanks again guys
  12. Now that is helpful. Thanks guys. I'll give it a whirl and post the results, maybe via SNAGIT.
  13. Lew, how would you suggest doing this so I have a 360 3D view (exterior) of the complete structure? Thanks,
  14. First, I apologize if this has been answered but I can't seem to locate via search. I have a terrain plan file and need to add, copy or import several separate buildings constructed in separate plan files. Can someone advise how best to accomplish this task? Thanks Guru's!
  15. Thank you both. The railing wall is there only to provide the posts for what will be wrap around porch. The area breaking the Porch is an outline for a fireplace, which will done differently than that shown. Most of the day was spent creating the solids for all the "Red Iron superstructure" and basic floor elevations. There is a CAD layer that shows the 1st and 2nd floor footprint from the owner's vision. Next is to prep the cantilevered porch or deck supports and send it to my structural engineer for vetting. This is a big project for me but having fun so far. Thanks again for all your support. Once again you guys came through with great support. Cheers!
  16. My plan is attached. What is causing the break in the wall between floors? Venue 1 Design 1.zip
  17. YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD THERE SHANE! I'VE NEVER SEEN SUCH A TIGHT BROTHERHOOD OF LIKE-MINDED LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. I JUST HOPE I GET THE HANG OF CA BEFORE I BECOME A BURDEN. I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE BACK BUT JUST DON'T KNOW ENOUGH YET TO CONTRIBUTE.
  18. I know CA has default layers like Section View and Camera View, which I have no doubt screwed up. Short of opening a template file without using my own layer or anno sets, is there a way to reset those "STOCK" layer to their original settings?
  19. LOL! So much quicker that Call Chief! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DRINKS ON ME TONIGHT AT MY BEACH HOUSE FOR EVERYONE!!!!!
  20. Thank you Jared and Kbird. What gets me is how the Chit happens.
  21. Thanks Scott. The weird thing is with Windows 8.1 Pro is I cannot "Send to Compressed Folder". I have create a FULL BACKUP to my Dropbox account and then compress it. I've attached the error in case that helps. Thanks, Studio-Warehouse v4.4.zip
  22. Scott, W6 and W7 are called out in the Schedule as 8020FX and 8050FX There is only one PASS THRU in the plan and I see it.
