when you go buy a car or a land plot you run your car runs years after you bought it. your land plot stay until you sell it. CA is or was a global software that was popular for its library's and its functioning, and above all looked to advance in it's software updates which CA users contributed to the said. CA will loose a lot of its clientele because of this yearly payment. if i want to rent it, then that is a different matter. but if i pay outright for it, it's mine regardless. CA.......... You need to re-think good about this one if you want to keep existing and future CA users intiseing users is better than loosing or dissuading them.

I have been informed by the sale department that we will have to pay every year just to keep the program running regardless where we want to upgrade to a later version or not Quoted from the sale dep;- (Antoine, Correct, the software would be shut off the following year should you choose not to renew. If you need access to the software for another year, another year of the subscription would be required.) Myself like many others are holding the CAX13 License which for the moment works without paying any more dues, but it’s not without its problem. I started with 3D Homes which I think was the start of CA years back but have been using CA since 1997 seeing its ups and downs but everyone work out the problems that were found. Personally I think that when we pay for an upgrade, it should stay for as long I we would wish even if the period runs into years. It does not seem like good business practice to be grabbing fees on a yearly bases like this, and also refrains people wishing to upgrade whenever they wish, as being in a bullying tactic. I’m an Architect for more than 50+ and can take many directions, but CA once upon a time looked to advance it’s software for people to use and advance into many directions. CA will lose lots by this direction taken of this yearly money demand. but thanks CA for the previous years when you were popular.

i have just sent an email back to CA sale and still waiting for a reply to mes below. Thanks for the info, but i'm still not sure what happens after the year runs out. does that mean the software will not work if not upgraded?rogd,antoine

it would be good if metric and ft and inches could be shown on the same drawing. why/. most of the world today uses metric but people still want to see feet and inches in certain countries.

yes mate, there are a couple of videos that explain that direction. but it is a long winded way around something just to get a larger gap.

ok guys thanks for your impute, but your missing the point a bit. I would like to know if it can be done in CA and not using an exterior source. example:- doors and windows have a rough opening space that can be specified to your desire, so like wise we should be able to space out a floor tile to our desired space. why? because I hate having to cut tiles and having a small tile left at an edge someplace. but if our full tiles are spaced even-ally with a bigger grout gap, we have a different type of tile presentation.

at one time we could just save the CA video just by right click and save video as....... open a place in folders and done. why can't we download the videos anymore? example:- what new in CA X13. also we had a down load arrow that sometimes opened to the top left-hand side of our screens a long side the opened video. what has happened to saving CA videos?

so yes Lew I stand corrected, sorry. the SSA is one thing and the upgrade is another which has been in previous years running one with the other since CA7 and it is my mistake that I placed them both together. but it would make more sense that they ran closer together. anyway. thanks for the correction mate, you did that to keep me mentality active in my retirement years

so its happening that each updated version stars to change at 15/16 month intervals. but our licenses are at 12 month intervals.

when will CA X13 be Available?.

yes mate, it makes common sense your explanation. but fact still remains. CA video's should download directly and easily without an exterior source. or made easily for people with the SSA license.

so guys, i have resulted to using Video Download Capture, but fact still remains. WHY can't we still download the video on right click with the mouse and save video as, (place in a folder somewhere) this is how we could do it before. Why the change?

if i renew my SSA. will my renewal start from now and will it allow me to download the latest CA X11 and after visions in 2020. or must i upgrade.

looks like that you can have a hardware lock for CA X11 check in the upgrades
