  1. If this is hardware related it is usually a consistent problem not hit and miss. I've seen this in some cases where the file is in a shared folder or external location. Otherwise if it's an issue with just one plan there maybe something that only gets triggered by a specific action.
  2. No worries. I have yet to reproduce any lock up using the default hight quality settings when using these materials except when I am in your plan. So the backup entire plan should ensure that we get all of the data in your file and the system info will help give us an idea of the environment we are dealing with.
  3. Try turning this off and see what happens.
  4. This does not appear to be related to the stone materials. I replaced all the stone materials I could find and reproduced the same problem. My guess is there is something in the plan that is hanging up on caustics. You won't really see them in an outdoor scene anyway so no loss in quality if you turn them off for now. I would do a backup entire plan and open a new support center ticket and include your system information as well.
  5. Is Hardware Texture Filtering turned on in your Preferences?
  6. If you are logged in, you should see some edit options under your post next to the quote buttons:
  7. At the bottom of the site there is a 'Change Theme' option. Change this to the mobile option and it should resize and position everything based on your resolution as it would for a mobile device. Might make things easier for now.
  8. At the top of the thread there is an option to go to the first unread post. That is the best I've found so far. No way to sort by post date within a thread.
  9. This is a great idea. I'll start off by adding a few quick tips of my own. Accessing hidden folders: I always prefer to access a hidden folder on the system by using the Go To Folder command. This is done from any Finder window and pressing ⌘+⇧+G You can then type in the direct path to a folder. For example '/Library/Application Support/ '. The other option is to simply toggle hidden files and folders through the Terminal. The Terminal is found in the '/Applications/Utilities' directory of your system. Once the Terminal is open enter the following commands in sequence: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE killall Finder
  10. In regards to any concerns over losing information, we are always adding new content and updating old content on the Knowledge Base based on what people are discussing on the forums and issues that we see trending in Tech Support. What that means is that the old information on the old forum will eventually lose it's value but you will still have access to the most common topics through this new forum and the online resources.
