Wonderful, thanks!

I use the wall elevation view quite a bit. It's perfect for kitchens and baths, and in general when I don't want to show anything beyond walls. Two things I REALLY wish we could do with it:
- Resize its clip plane to expand its width to include adjacent walls.
- Break it to step its cutting planes.
Both of these are possible with regular elevations.

Perry, I never even noticed that!

Interesting, thanks!

That's interesting, and encouraging that it's not just me. Do you happen to remember if it happened before X9? Thanks.
-
H'mm. Thanks. I'll have to look into this.
-
In X9 and from 2 separate plans?

Yes, it's the wall elevation tool. I've done it many times in the past. No problem pasting between elevation windows in the same plan

Would you consider upgrading your machine? I find that it's necessary every couple of years, especially when Chief comes out with a new version. And I agree with Perry to stick with NVidia. Usually a gaming graphics card works well with Chief. Once I spent a $1k on a workstation graphics card at someone's advice, and it turned out that a $400 card was much faster for Chief. If you do an upgrade, don't do an integrated graphics card (you probably already know this).

Wow, that's cool. Thanks Scott!

Sometimes I'll open a plan and every time I get that at one intersection. I'll delete and rebuild and the issue stops until next time I open the plan.
-
I'm not having that problem. Thank goodness. But I haven't been working on very large plans. What I've found helpful in the past is to put items with a lot of facets on their own layers that I turn off until I need to see them.

I have pretty fast computers, so it doesn't affect me much, I have noticed a bit of a lag over previous versions. Five years is ancient!

It's in the drop-down list for cabinets. Draw it to any size you wish.

Custom counter top!

Not that I can figure out!
-
I stand corrected!

Not sure if it's unique to this new plan I'm working on, but I no longer have the ability to copy from a wall elevation and paste it into another wall elevation in a different plan. I've done this for ages until now. Anyone else having issues?

Below is my query and her response.
Dear Adam,
While we currently offer 8 CAD formats, we’re always happy to know what customers would like us to add in the future. We’ve receive quite a few requests today for Chief Architect and are adding this to our for future consideration. Thank you for letting us know you would like to see this format!

Subject: Chief ArchitectWould you please consider adding Wolf and Sub-Zero products to the Chief Architect Library. I often specify your products but have to use Viking or Jenn-Air for elevations and renderings.

Great idea. I sent an email. Thanks for that.

I love the new ability to specify counter top overhangs without creating custom tops. But I wish we could dimension to them as well. So it turns out it's not saving any time.

I should have explained better. I want the railing (of my choosing) pass over the newels.
