  1. In my experience, using Quatros was a waste of money. Seems like a fast gaming system is a way to go if you're doing a lot of renderings. Keep in mind that raytracing uses your processor, while most of the other rendering styles rely on your video card. Take a look at my signature, which is a new system. No complaints.

  2. In Layout, select the view you're having problems with;

    Click on the Layer Set Options;

    Select the same Layer Set as the one in plan view that looks correct. (that you thought you sent to Layout);

    That should fix it so you're seeing the same lines as the one in your plan view.

  3. I use three systems, with all the library items in DropBox. This works flawlessly as long as A} the preferences in all three machines point to the correct folder, and B} this is the kicker, the files are not open on multiple machines at once. But I'm assuming you work simultaneously.

    I recall at the Users' meeting that networking is now possible, so I'd give tech support a call and see what they recommend.

  4. 552257038_Untitled3.thumb.jpg.43a03a40f095ad98fed4ef0bf6bab6c0.jpgThis is so odd. There are new wall break lines that aren't really breaks, in four places.

    1. Where the two invisible walls (dashed) touch the walls, they appear to break the solid wall, but the wall is not broken. When I select those walls they are whole. The "breaks" show regardless of whether the invisible walls are showing, and the "breaks" move in conjunction with the invisible walls when I move them.

    2. The "breaks" on two corners are not breaks either. They appear to be Through-Wall-Lines, but that layer is off. When on, yet another line appears in another corner.

    The adjacent rooms are the same height.

    The walls are all the same type.

    Temporary dimensions on one wall go to the surface (as it should), yet on another wall in the room goes to the main layer.

    I usually try to get feedback from your peeps before I send into support.

  5. My old system:

    Win 10 Pro; i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz (12 CPUs); 16GB RAM; GeForce GTX1060 6GB; 500GB SSD

    My new system:

    Win 10 Pro; i7-8700 CPU @ 3.70GHz (12 CPUs); 32GB RAM; GeForce RTX2080 8GB GDDR6; 500GB SSD

    Not a huge difference as far as I can tell. Just thought I'd put it out there.

  6. After searching old threads, it doesn't appear that anyone has a solution. But if any of you old timers found one, please let me know how you've been able to view these ancient Chief files.

    Maybe someone has an old version that I can "borrow?" But damn, all my dongles are long gone.
