Any ideas on the best way to achieve this two-part challenge would be greatly appreciated. It's an unusual shape for the doorway, and on top of that, it has a railing in part of it. Yep, it's actually in the doorway.

I sold it a while ago but I don't recall having issues.

Mark, that's some useful info that I had not considered. Thank you for the graphics!

Looking for Collaboration in South Lake Tahoe, CA.

For those who pm’d and emailed, thank you! I should have a proposal today. If it’s not what I’m looking for I’ll get back to you Friday. -
Looking for Collaboration in South Lake Tahoe, CA.

Thanks Alan! -
I've drawn the schematic design for a two-story home, but am not familiar with the local codes. I'd like to hire someone who can collaboratively bring it to the next level. There's a local architectural/engineering firm that can stamp the plans, but I'd like to have most of the legwork completed before handing it over. It's a fun project and there's a lot left to do. As you can see from the PDF, CDs have not begun. The rendering is of the rear. Lot's of hoops to jump through because of the weird lot, and TRPA doesn't make it easy. PELLEGRINO 11.pdf

True. But I wasn't even looking there. I looked in preferences and defaults. Where it should be!

Evidently, just like me!

OMG, you're so right! Jeez and thank you!

Only on one machine, when I select an object (wall, dimension, etc.), nothing gets selected on the active layer display options panel. I assume it's a preference somewhere, although I don't know why anyone would not want it. Anyway, I can't find a way to turn it on. Any ideas?

H'mm. Perhaps I should look at creating a molding p-line and adding it the the library, assuming it will stretch correctly as a lintel. What do you think?
-
That would work but I'm hoping for a high-level workaround rather than addressing each window individually. Thanks!
-
Looking for suggestions on the fastest way to add curved lintels (or brick molding) like the attached. The windows are various widths but the lintel heights are consistent. Thank you!

Scott, as usual you make me guffaw. When is the UG this year? I may bring my better half.

Excellent advice. The same applies with DropBox or other cloud storage systems.

Just curious. What supports the middle shelf?

For me, the top buttons are for undo, copy, paste, etc. The side buttons are noted in the screenshots. In order to become comfortable with the gazillion buttons, I had a little note taped to the screen for a while. Now it's second nature to use the buttons, jumping to the keyboard a fraction of times compared to previously. I also mapped a few keys on the keyboard. For example, the "foot" sign (apostrophe) is mapped to the Num Lock key so when entering dimensions, my hand stays over the number keypad. Everyone has their own preferences. This is what I've gotten used to.

Razer makes mice with lots of side buttons. Mine has 12, plus two top buttons in addition to the normal left and right, and the scroll wheel tilts. Every button has a hot key assigned.

I used it for interior measurements and it worked flawlessly. Connected to my laptop to Bluetooth measurements into my CAD program. The Leica DISTO D330i is a 9 measurement mode LDM accurate to 1/16th of an inch. It features a back-lit LCD display, a tilt sensor, and Bluetooth 2.1. In Smart Horizontal mode, the D330i uses angle data from a tilt sensor and does the math to solve for the level horizontal distance to your target. 'Note: Will NOT work with iOS devices. I was fortunate enough to purchase an RTX 3090 for under $3,000, so this one should go to a good home. Designed to handle professional workflows, the NVidia Quadro RTX 4000 Graphics Card utilizes NVIDIA's Turing architecture and the RTX platform to deliver accelerated ray tracing, deep learning, and advanced shading. 2304 CUDA Cores Turing Architecture 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM 256-Bit Memory Interface Shipping to lower 48 included

Why Doesn't a Faster CPU Speed Up Certain Operations In Chief?
Adam_Gibson replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
Perhaps it would be helpful if Chief provided public benchmark tests in which users could participate. I feel Larry's pain and would welcome guidance before each hardware upgrade. -
How to get rid of all these lines showing on my foundation.
Adam_Gibson replied to MasterpieceODL's topic in General Q & A
Are you sure it's not a video card error, and not related to Chief? -
Thanks guys.

Can someone explain what this is? It's from the most recent update notes.

I recommend that you make a suggestion in the Wishlist forum. The more who request it, the more likely it is to be implemented. It would be quite the time saver when doing large elevations.
