Love it! I just with divider walls did not take on a width and stayed just a line.
-
Now that I see what I did here, there is no reason to have two rooms. I can just create one room and jog the line to the right to the stair wall.
-
Thank you Doug. Steve Nester had a good idea also by using a wall and stripped down door jamb. This also fixed it. So now we have a number of ways to deal with the issue. Thank you everyone!
-
It was running the wall into a window, so I made it jog and that fixed the ceiling

I see. I'm just using the divider wall that comes with Chief. But maybe along the way I changed something.
-
Hi Larry, the wall typically defaults to 4.5" thick. I changed it to 1.5" thick and that closed the gap. I do not think that is the solution, although it worked, because it happens like 40% of the time. So I figure I must be missing something or doing something wrong, although it is just walls and a stairs.

Here is the plan. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving! I have added more questions for our next meeting, but keep learning things so some things come back off. Just yesterday I counted my plans I drew. 41 plans since Aug 2 when I drew my first plan with Chief. SND1975 Ron and Katha Petroelje.plan

I made the wall thickness 1.5 and that worked.

But I need the invisible wall (divider wall) to close the stairs to make it it's own room.

Hello, has anyone got an answer to the issue that is created at the top of the stairs with the gap. See video https://www.loom.com/share/6832a5bb44b0483ab3330ee62cee0182

I found my User_Library.calib under ...data/Database Libraries. So if I make a copy of that, can I just add it back to bring back my Library in the future?
-
It was a user library - I just recreated it. My Trash is empty. I guess my library is under the data folder maybe - I will check that to back it up. Thank you

Hello, Two questions... I lost one of my folders in my library - I must of deleted it by accident. How do I find it back? Is there a way to export/save my Library so I can restore it if something like this happens? Thank you

Thank you DJP! I have learned new things from this video! I am still putting the rails on the stairs. That garage is 24" down from the main garage. I will figure things out from here. Thank you again!!

I have a funny situation that I am not sure why it is not working. I added several stairs in my garage to a lower area and to the basement. These are Open Below rooms, but they do not show the stairs on the main floor. Same with a small space in the foyer stairs where part of the stairs is extruding into the living room - does not show the stairs below. Thoughts? Thank you SCP1853 Roseboom Residence.plan

Thank you Michael! I too am overly busy, but I will reach out to you sometime in the new year as I want to take advantage of the macros to further automate my processes.
-
I tested my garage doors with your first code .inch and it works great. When I change it to 9' or 18', or heights of 7' or 8', the label is correct.
-
Well, I will remember this if I run into an issue. I just went through and set up like 15 different typical garage doors and set their sizes and saved them into my library. It all works great for now. It did not take too long if I need to change it later.
-
This is so amazing!! I did also find out that I can add the door I want into a drawing, size it to be the default I want, and save it (with the macro into the Label) into the library and it will save the macro.
-
Perfection! %(width/12.inch).round% x %(height/12.inch).round% GARAGE DOOR
-
Thank you Michael! Michael, I'm assuming you know a bit about the Marcos? I would love to toss some money in your direction to spend an hour learning about this.

Default Label Formatting Custom labels can include a variety of macros that report size information about the object. This information can be reported in either of two ways: • Default Formatting includes the unit of measurement after each macro reporting size information. In files using US Units, sizes are described using fractional inches with up to 1/16” accuracy. • When Default Formatting is not used, units of measurement are not shown and decimal inches are used. You can specify whether to Use Default Formatting in the object’s specification dialog. See Label Panel. Anyone who knows Macros like to send me/us the macro to make labels automatic for garage doors?

See video... I'm trying to set up my default garage doors in my User Catalog but they always change to 9 X 7 GARAGE DOOR. https://www.loom.com/share/3b39de6f1b7c4a41a5a3b922c63d069c

Living Area Square feet notation disappears.

ok, so I am finding out something... I did my test on me main floor. Now when I try on the foundation, where the Living Area text is missing, I cannot find or select the border. I tried tabbing and nothing is there.
