I am the worst at the stairs. Even the simple ones. Please help me with this issue. Notes are on the pictures. Thanks!

no worries. I can't stand working with them but my boss is totally into me mastering them it seems.

Ok, it worked. Question: Is there a way to adjust lighting during a walk-through like this as well? I noticed lights are off in other rooms in the background that I know are on and when the camera approaches those rooms they sometimes come on. I'd like them to stay on. I have had a tremendous time with lighting issue in Physically-based walk-throughs. Seems I can get it just right in a camera view but when I start recording none of the settings I set seem to hold. Physically-based walk-throughs must have a dbx somewhere thats different.

Okay, I just checked. The only thing I see is a drop-down menu under Light Data/Light Sources that have Light 1(all views) Light 2(all views) and Light 3 (all views) I check light 3(all vies) and it changed nothing so I'm not sure what lingo I looking for under Light Sources...

I keep running into this issue. Lights with more than one bulb and only one turn on. I have noticed the same thing with under-mount cabinet lights in my kitchens doing the same thing. In those cases, if I adjust one the other side of the under-mount kitchen lights turns off leaving me with half the lighting I need to be on. I gave up on under-mount cabinet lighting awhile back (too frustrating). This picture is an example of what I'm dealing with now. This happens 95% of the time in my bathroom sconces. No matter which way I move this camera that one bulb is the only one on. This I a Physically based view. It shows the same in a walk through

I do not know how to do this. I have been trying to work with these molding polylines and I'm lost. The only place I can see it is in plan view. It disappears when I switch over to the camera view. Totally confused here. I'm not understanding if I start in plan view or camera view. Do I use molding polyline or 3d molding polyline (which only is allowed in plan view I noticed) and also it says to drag it along a surface? I was able to sort of drag a 3d molding polyline along what I thought was the edge of the cabinet but I had to convert it to a poly solid to find it in the camera view. It converted it to concrete, changed the profile I chose to square and was found underneath the house in space. So I'm lost...

How do you get the carpet on rise and run only? Seems the rise is the same as the stringer, therefore, it gets carpeted as well...

How do I get the crown to return into the face frame of the adjacent cabinet? Thanks

Having an issue controlling the exterior lighting making my curtains glow unrealistically during a walkthrough video. I have tried many settings of sun angle, tilt and time of day while in physically-based mode. I CAN get it the way I like but when I record a walkthrough in Physically-based it ignores all my settings and I guess records it in default which completely is unproductive and destroys the look. The Walkthrough Option DBX is very limited. Is there an internal setting somewhere else I need to set so it controls my sunlight while recording walkthroughs? I have messed with generic sunlight and use backdrop lighting and I get the same results. Physically based walk.mp4

Yes, I do. And I was able to build my own with a Kohler version I found. Sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks, I will give it a shot. I figured that was probably what I was going to need to do.

Not sure If this is where I post this. I'm looking for a 60x42 oval garden tub to place in a bathroom rendering. Not a free-standing oval. There is not one in core, bonus or manufacturing cats. It needs to be a one-piece unit (square nothing fancy) with an oval tub. 3d warehouse/sketchup does not have one either. Does anyone have one to share or know where I can find one FREE? Any leads would be great! Thanks...

You are correct. I finally figured out the "path" I guess to obtain 3dwarehouse models etc. For some reason, It will not allow me to download a skp. file into my current opened drawing I am working with when I log in to Sketchup/Trimble free version online( not sure why) but if I download the collada file version I can then import that into CA. Now I'm struggling with exploding that model/symbol in CA so I can adjust it. I have noticed that many times the "explode architectural component" tool/command seems to not be available when I need it. Sometimes that command appears in my toolbar at the bottom of the screen and sometimes it is not. I will even open up my toolbar and hotkeys to search for it in hopes to add it to my toolbar and It is not in there. Apparently, the callada file I imported from 3dwarehouse is in some format that allows me to use the symbol change colors and textures but will not let me open explode it and change the structure. For example, I found the countertop I need but it is attached to a base cabinet I do not need. How do I explode anything I want whenever I want in CA?

Nevermind I figured it out

Solver, Once I open cabinet how do I "Tab to select the sink-- or click the Next icon in the edit toolbar" What I did was select cabinet (that I already placed the undermount sink in) which opened the dbx and I do not see anywhere to select the sink that allows me to adjust z axis to the bowl itself. But I have been called blind, many times by my wife so...

Thanks, Just updated my signature

I can't use an undermount sink because it looks like an undermount sink unfortunately. I tried to and when I changed the counter to a 1" thickness it shows an air gap between the bowl and top. Once you place a sink bowl on the counter it would not let me adjust the height from floor(sink bowl only) to close the gap This is just another reason I can't use an undermount

Thanks, 3d warehouse from Sketchup I am assuming? If so I cannot seem to download anything from 3dwarehouse. Sketchup is weird now, the free version is very basic and will not let me download from 3dwarehouse unless you upgrade$$$. I will try again but I have tried many times thus far. The free version seems to be controlled by Trimble and can only be accessed now by going to the website and logging in. I hate it! I can't afford another program

Did you ever get this squared away and figured out. I have about thirty houses I need to construct in CA for interior illustrations for the company I work for and ALL our windows have no casing only a stool with drywall returns to the vinyl windows. The only thing I have figured out was how to turn off the interior casing. The Jambs (top and bottom) are flush with the finished drywall after I do this and I need them to be set back so it looks like the drywall returns. I see no Jamb tabs in the dbx. to make adjustments unless they use a different term for jambs in chief. I need help with this because I do not want to retrofit each window for the next foreseeable future. I'm dreading making p-lines etc. when CA should AGAIN have these basic common options already done in the dbx (My opinion of coarse) If you know how to do this now can you break it down step by step for me please? I would love it, thanks!

Does anyone know where to find one-piece cultured vanity sink tops in the core cat? I can't find them. (A pretty standard item in America these days). I thought I saw them once. I'm using x11

Does anyone know where I can find a better selection of shower curtains? There are only two options in the Core Cat. Looking for a curved shower rod with a curtain. x11
