Thanks. The wall is not so easy. I need the bottom of the wall to continue at the same angle - not turn parallel to the floor at the tip. Also, the "railing" wall on the second flight of stairs does nothing with "follow stairs" checked. If I pull the wall back flush with the bottom riser, I am able to achieve the correct look, however, the wall is not supposed to be flush with the 1st riser. Any ideas?

I need to slope the front only of this wall in the direction of the arrow. I've seen videos online where it can be done, but in this instance I do not get a grab handle. Could that be since it is defined as a railing wall? If anyone has an idea of how to do this, please let me know. I will be adding stair railing on top to match the photo (2nd attachment). Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions. Alchemyjim - I tried placing an invisible wall to "bridge" the two brick columns. When I did this, the end caps of the brick walls disappeared.

That said, my siding had a tendency to wrap over the slab, so I had to manually pull it up to expose the slab. I hope it sticks.

Don - thanks for the suggestion. I went ahead and built it out of polyline solids. It took less than 10 minutes.

Thanks for the reply. The slab on the front porch needs to be recessed for the brick pavers and there is no footing connecting the two brick column walls. I was going to fill this area in with a polyline sold.

Joey - thanks for taking the time to answer. I think I've got it now, however, I end up with a lip where the two planes of drywall need to attach. I have tried moving the ceiling plane forward to meet on the outside, but CA pushes it back behind the vertical layer of drywall. Any work around for this or is this as good as it gets? Thanks again, Kevin Also, if you have any idea on how to get rid of the baseboard poking through, I'm listening. I am unable to select the room and delete the baseboard under the moldings panel (it's grayed out). If I remove it from the wall by ticking "no room moldings", the baseboard doesn't show up in the adjacent room where I need it. Any ideas?

Sorry to be blowing up the forum this weekend, but I've got a project due Tueseday and am running into all kinds of things with a 70's as-built. My latest issue is getting the footings of my slab foundation to align correctly with two projecting brick columns at the entry of the home. When I auto-build the foundation it does a fairly good job, but ignores these brick column walls. When I extend the already generated footings to cover these areas I run into all kinds of problems. I have attached various images including a screen grab of the original plans from the 70's along with the Chief file. Would someone please tell me how to accomplish this? Eric - I appreciate you looking at this. I tried drawing the ceiling plan myself this morning and can't get it in the proper location nor can I invert is so that drywall is on the top. How did you do this? Kevin

The wall you have in the second image where you state it should NOT be a High Shed Gable, isn't. It is specified as a Hip Wall.

Thanks again Eric. Where did that wall come from? Is it something you drew or by changing the roof setting it will automatically connect? Sorry, I still don't follow. Thanks Eric. The dormer walls are already connecting to the interior walls as shown in the second image. I thought CA would fill this in automatically. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by drawing walls that cover the gap. There are already walls drawn in these locations.

Yes, exactly. The surface under the red that I show with red arrows. I think you just answered my question though. "Chief only does plumb walls". So, I'll have to fill in with a polyline solid. Thanks!

Sorry - I should have been more clear. In the image attached I have marked the sloping wall. When viewed from the outside it's a sort of dormer. The second photo shows another vantage point from the inside. I guess my question is, can CA draw this parametrically (thereby generating framing) or do I need to fill this in with a polyline solid and manually add the framing? Can CA generate walls that aren't perpendicular to the floor? The outside ceiling over the porch is flat.

I have a story and a half as-built that I'm modeling. There's an angled wall just above the foyer as shown in the first photo. How should I go about this? Polyline solid or is there some tool in Ca that will help? The second photo is an exterior shot. Thanks, Kevin.
