Hi All, Just trying to open X17 Beta on my MBPM2 and it instantly crashes. X16 is fine. Also, only operating on MBP for both X16 and X17 but every time I try to change over I get a notice to say that the program is being used on another computer and am asked to make available on MBP. When I go into my digital locker the program is already running on MBP!. So, will I have to do this every time I change from X16 to X17?? Surely not ? Anybody ???

Any other Chiefers in Tauranga New Zealand? I've been here a while now and lost touch with other local design offices using Chief.

yep, Not happy about that ! I have 2 licences and about to retire. Will have to throw into the garbage can !!!

+1 for mac over windows. Have been using an M2 Macbook Pro for about 6 months now and took a while to adjust to different system. Not perfect but better than Windows. Old windows desktop gathering in the corner never to be resurrected as I originally thought.

Thought you can't buy a used license anymore. New rule from C.A. ??

Hi All, Getting my head around X16 and trying to adjust wall framing to include wall bridging (horizontal wall nogging here in NZ) with spacing between rows at 800mm. Additionally, we generally us a 2nd top plate 140x35 to attach ceiling lining edge to. I know I can manually adjust individual wall frames but time consuming. Anyone in Aus / NZ managed to sort this out?

Hi All, Using my new Macbook Pro M2 with Chief X15 loaded but being long in the tooth, finding difficulty accepting the slightly different format from Windows 10 which I've been using for yeeaaarrs ! So installed parallels and downloaded Windows 11 onto my Mac to operate Chief with Windows 11. is anyone else out there doing this? I tried reinstalling Chief onto Windows 11 (in windows format from my digital locker) but when trying to open on the Mac (Windows 11) I get an error message saying the graphics card isn't strong enough and won't produce 3D views. If I have Chief X15 installed on the Mac side, is there a way to open the program on the Windows side? All comments and advice gratefully accepted

Hi All, I'm a windows 10 user on my desktop and trying to convert myself to my new MBP - challenging.. I can't get enough speed out of my apple magic mouse to match my Razer Abyssus on my desktop. What do other MBP M2 users out there chase their screen pointer with? And are you happy with the speed?

Hi There, Didn't think the Macbook pro could do a raytrace. Have just ordered a new Macbook pro 16" with M2 chip and wasn't expecting it to raytrace. Other Macbook pro users out there.. am I correct? or can you raytrace..

Hi Ryan, Yes, agree with that. I noticed that your MB runs on 16GB memory. Happy with that? Was considering 64GB but probably stick with 32GB as a maxed-out option is verrry expensive here in NZ

Hi All, Will be upgrading my current laptop soon. Going from Surface book 2 to a MacBook Pro 16inch with M2 chip and considering the Max chip. Has anyone recently upgraded to a MacBook Pro? Would be intereted to hear thoughts before committing. Cheers, Andy Smith
