I am using CA premier x 10

I am trying to create a driveway but when I access the driveway icon under  TERRAIN it is not highlighted  I tried in plan view as well as camera.. it was working ok the last time I needed it a few weeks ago

any guide??

I dont know how you did it Eric.  and I can work from the plan you sent me,,and I really appreciate what you have done for  me, I see by your posts that you have been doing this a ling time I want to be able to do it as well but Ive tried but still having problems  please im a dunce or ive been working on this  so long I can't see  the forest for the trees

Where do i find the roof directive in walls.  is it in the default settings  or it is it when i access the actual wall in question??

Thank you for all your imput. I amusing CA premier 10 ..Trying to create a roof over deck on the first floor ( which i have not been able to do). 

Here is my plan CA Premier 10 plus my camera view and my hand plan view showing the roof over the deck.

I tried to build a deck ( but as you can see it is not in the plan yet) but my wall got lost.  then when i tried again I got a ceiling over the deck  but no roof.

I've printed off all your suggestions and going thru them one at a time

Again your help is great maybe I'm either not reading your responses properly or I am totally dunce!!

I am trying to change the garage from a hip roof to a gable roof. I was able to change the house roof but the garage roof will not change when I press the icon for change in the tool bar nothing happens.  

How do I create the over hang on the first floor to tie in wit the garage.  Attached is my camera view so far as well as the plan I am tryin to recreate in CA

I have a house plan from a client who want to see renderings showing some exterior options.  I can Build the plan ok.. just wondering if there is a simple way to import house plans and build from there.. would save time

so the program i have CA x 10 premier does not have that particular options... Im trying to make the most of  my RT in my current program..Ill keep at it anyway sooner or later it will come together- so very frustating at times

i appreciate all the solutions  you have given me  I know What RT is but what is PBR.. how do I turn off the sun . I did add a roof and foundation.. it gave me a light look but had a power surge and had to redo trace  now i still get dark..I have tried turning off the direct sunlight intensity in  RT editing turned off photon mapping turned off tone mapping.

Im at a loss I have been at this for several hours.  its probably someting really simple but im not getting it

My ray traces come out very dark can you give me some help.  I keep adjusting the sunlight but get the same result

I've attached an image. also how do I get the picture in full screen.  I've seen some great images in the gallery and they look fabulous.  I'm hoping to be able to achieve the same look with practice just need some guidance.  I've watched the help videos

I do not have any plans ... am going by photos and estimated measurements.. doing rendering for various facades with landscaping  parking areas etc

it is a flat roof  but I am having trouble recreating the "overhang" which is about 2' length and is flared
