Thanks. That works great. But, why? Take an easy tool and make it harder. I suppose the value is in wanting a living area label for one of multiple buildings in the same plan.
-
Is this a known bug? I have tried opening a new plan and also saving a closing my current project. I can not get the Living Area Label to go away as in previous versions.

Roof cuts wall not at bottom but over 4 inches up
Gawdzira replied to GeneDavis's topic in General Q & A
Is it an air gap or a siding gap? -
I am not sure if this rises to the top of a gripe list but... I selected a room (closet in this case) and went direct to the label tab and turned it off in all views, then jumped to the room tab and changed the room type to "Closet" from "Living" and the label suppression was then switched off. Not the behavior I was expecting. Has this been happening similarly in previous versions?

The soffit attaches to the sub fascia. If you have a 3/4" material for your soffit and you want a 1/4" drip on your fascia then make the sub fascia 1" less than your fascia and it will build with that look.

Align 2x4 and 2x6 framing layers flush to exterior face
Gawdzira replied to j2narchitecture's topic in General Q & A
@j2narchitecture help me understand the value of the 3d model actually containing the 2x4 stud layer rather than just drawing the 2x6 wall and calling out the wall type as a 2d detail? I am not trying to criticize but want to know how you are getting value from this in your workflow. -
Try adjusting this:
-
Trade it in for this mouse

Is it a wired mouse or wireless. I have issues with the wireless mouse if the battery is low.

Strange X18 request to record my screen and audio......
Gawdzira replied to para-CAD's topic in General Q & A
That sounds like a bug, not a feature. @ConnorE This is a level of hell I would like to not enter. -
Second try, I got it to work with the delete newel tool. I like the invisible corner hack better better because it stops the cable from closing the corner
-
Thanks, it almost worked but I could not get the end baluster to move and leave a gap. I could move one side but once I moved the second side I ended up with 3 newels. I cheated in a section of invisible wall and then adjusted the end newels out. After that it required a molding for the top rail since the invisible wall corner stopped the top rail.
-
Is it possible to double up the newel at the corner of this balcony? This is done with the railing tool. Do I need to place the railing as an invisible wall and then make a symbol to get the proper end post configuration? Thanks. I just did a large polyline to fill and move back like you are suggesting. I was hopeful there was a menu item that was in an obscure location in this new version.

Working in X18, do we have a solution for this threshold issue yet? I selected rooms and did a colored fill pattern. Do I need to go to a rendered isometric?
