Seems odd that we can set a default fill style for a pretty obscure polyline tool but not for a regular polyline box. Apparently it's just me.

    Not just you.

Did put this in suggestions? If, not please do. I will also.

  2. From a recent post:

    Curved Trusses:
    1.    Use CA truss tool to get this curved bottom truss started by using a curved ceiling plane.
    2.    Use solids in elevation. Solids allow you to have the wood grain longitudinal on each long side and across the ends by copying the material, rotating it and saving it as another material.
    3.    Use 3D moldings in elevation. The wood grain will be longitudinal on all sides.

  3. Howdy Rob,

I cannot explain how you got there because I do not know the plan's history. My guess is that you edited an auto generated roof plane AND said okay to the warning that popped up saying that you had auto roofs on.

    From the X13 help file:

"When an automatically generated roof plane is modified, the program marks it as "edited", giving you the option of retaining it when the roof is rebuilt. Uncheck this box to remove this status from the selected roof plane. See Rebuilding Roofs. Mark as Edited is only available for automatically generated roof planes. If a manually drawn roof plane is selected, the words Manual Roof Plane will display here instead."

    I hope that helps.

  4. For two columns, send the schedule to layout three times.

    1. Crop the first one halfway down the list.
    2. Crop the second on halfway up the list.
    3. Crop the headings to add to the top of #2.

And moving it to exterior fixes the beam....???

    Remember that:

    1. The location of of the baseline (in 3D: X, Y, Z) and the roof pitch determine the location (and height) of the roof plane.
    2. The wall extends upward until it reaches the ceiling height or a lower roof plane, depending on your settings (like a balloon wall).
    3. The "beam" in this case is part of the railing wall.

    image.thumb.png.7eddc22df49f17f9b064d63e4229634e.png

So when you move the baseline inward toward the porch center, you lower the roof plane and shorten that wall's height (and lower the top of that wall) which lowers the "beam" that is part of that wall.

    I hope that helps.

    Best,

    Charles

  6. Howdy Chris,

It just seem like a roof problem. Just align the roof baseline with the outside main layer of that porch eaves wall and see if that works for you.

Proper baseline location from my change:

For others: The baselines need to be at the correct elevation also, which they were.

I did not change any roof defaults, like sub-fascia size.

  7. Garage Door Wizard! That is how I made the door I sent you Scott!

I have Version 2.10.0025 of the program that works on my computer with X13 and Windows 10.

I will sell the program for Kerry on the honor system. You send me $20 via PayPal to CVRE@sbcglobal.net and I will forward you the program via email. No sharing, warranty, no returns, no crying, no whining.

Please let the rest of us know if it works or not on your computer setup by posting on this thread so others can decide whether to buy.

Upgrades are $20 also since there is no way to monitor registered users. Kerry said that the price back in the day was $35. So it is a good deal. Kerry was nice enough to allow me to distribute this because some of us asked for it.

I am just trying to contribute to you guys and gals on the forum who have helped me by participating on the forum.

    Regards,
    Charles
