I would agree on file size. what is crazy is from my computer the file size is zero bytes and when I view that same file from his computer I can see that it is 5.6 meg. It also show zero bytes from on my MacBook. I just don't know if its a cloud issue, computer issue or Chief issue on his license (him changing some default)

I have 3 different stations with 2 going at the same time. I do the design, and my draftsman does the work. If I create the plan or layout, he has no problem opening, working and saving. However, once he opens the file and works on it, I can not longer access it. I can see it in the folder, but I get message in the picture that I have attached. I am running 2 licenses of X12 on an IMAC (mine) and a Mac mini (draftsman), all of my files are on my iCloud. I have not ever encountered before as I personally go between my MacBook and IMAC if I am at the office or remote. I am at a loss here I would greatly appreciate it if anyone has encountered this problem before and know how to remedy it. Thank you in advance. Gene

I can not get the roof planes to connect for a bell roof
gene1472 replied to gene1472's topic in General Q & A
Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you, been super busy. Thank you very much Robert -
Good morning. I get this issue from time to time in various plans and it is so frustrating. I am currently working on an existing home that I am drawing the exterior and roof in order to add an addition. My problem is I have 2 different roof pitches on the same roof plane. This is no biggie, I do this all the time by drawing 2 separate planes, change roof pitches and then connect them to get my bell roof on that roof plane. However, every now and then I get this frustrating issue of the two roof planes not wanting to connect. The lower pitch stops at the exterior wall and the higher pitch stops at the face of the stud, i.e. the picture. I need help in figuring out what is going on. Like I said, this happens every now and then and is so frustrating. My solution in the past was to start over, but I am wanting to know the root cause and save me time and money by eliminating this issue all together. I am adding the plan file also if anyone would like to diagnose my issue. I thank you in advance for helping me. abdo existing.plan

What am I missing here? I have attached photos showing the roof planes in question. I appreciate any and all input.
