Domistyle
This has to be a simple fix, but I'm going out of my mind. I select an object and NO edit toolbar appears at the bottom of my screen. No ability for point-to-point move, change doorswing, all those things! Will some kind soul tell me what I must have deleted or altered?
Alaskan_Son
Try View>Toolbars
Alaskan_Son
Or... Try Tools>Toolbars and Hotkeys>Customize Toolbars>Toolbar>Reset Toolbars You may have inadvertently moved it or shut it down. For this reason I would suggest Tools>Toolbars and Hotkeys>Lock Toolbars once you have things where you want them.
Joe_Carrick
Most likely, the Edit Toolbar got moved. Right Click on the Object. A context menu will appear, but the Edit Toolbar should also appear someplace. Grab it by it's handle (a little line of dots) and drag it down to dock it at the bottom of the screen. Alaskan_Son
...or what Joe said INSTEAD of resetting your toolbars. What Joe said wont work though if you have dragged the edit bar off screen or shut it down altogether. Edit: Actually, what Joe said will work even if you have dragged it off screen or shut it down. Only if you go and and lock the toolbars though...go figure. Edit again: You shouldn't even have to right click and the edit bar should appear somewhere (could only get this to happen after locking the toolbars though in my experiments). Joe_Carrick
The danger in resetting the toolbars is that you will lose any customization. In my case that's a disaster.

Domistyle
Thank you. In the end, I had to reset my toolbars and still don't know what happened. I'm assuming operator error, but sure hope I don't do it again.
HamlinBC
You could have right clicked on one of your toolbars, hover over "Toolbars", select the "Edit" toolbar. Just in case it happens again sometime...
