1.   How can I get the log siding to extend upwards so it covers the rafter?

2.   How do I lower the gable wall railing beam?  Currently it projects into the roof.

3.   A few other issurs on the 2nd screenshot.

Screenshots attached.  Zip file attached.

Thanks in advance,

Lane

That does it.  Thanks!

I was able to fix most of it. I wasn’t sure what was causing the issue with the railing walls on the porch, so I went ahead and rebuilt them from scratch.

Would you like me to send the file back with my updates?

Also, it looks like you were running into the same issue I recently learned about. I had to turn off “Auto Rebuild Attic Walls” in the defaults—this setting can really cause problems on custom builds.

I don’t think you needed to make that wall a balloon wall to get it up to the roof sheathing. It looks like the issue was tied to the “Auto Rebuild Attic Walls” setting.

Once that’s turned off, you should be able to draw those walls in manually and have better control without needing to use a balloon wall.
