DefinedDesign
Anyone have any thoughts on why the rim joists on the deck are not generating and why the soffit isn't fitting to the 16" I-joists? TroubleShoot_Deck_Roof.zip
clearvuedesign Posted yesterday at 05:07 AM Share Posted yesterday at 05:07 AM Most likely this is due to the fact that there is no rim joist for decks in the deck dialogue boxes and what chief seems to be doing is it puts it under the rim joist for the house so you should open deck framing, and make sure your rim joist is on for the main house grab the rim joist for the deck and change the layer to deck framing. Renerabbitt
You have rim joist construction turned off: and like evergreen said, gable sub-fascia Also a good idea to drive your first floor structure by the defaults: I would also build your daylight basement on a level 1 instead of level 0 since it allows you to isolate your foundation and footings plan from a floor plan of that level as well as giving more options for transition from stem wall to slab to stepped and furred walls
