How do I create a half ledge in the corner of a room (I used the straight half-wall tool)

I want to build it out of 2x12 and push it into the corner (shown away from the wall in the iso views)

but when I do, it has double the drywall thickness on the long section of the wall

and creates a 2x12 on the end, Going to the ceiling

(I could draw it manually but I have other ones to add with different lengths)

You could probably make a new wall type without the drywall on one side.

How do I make a new wall type (and I am using x13) thanks found the answer https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/5454/creating-a-new-wall-type-with-a-new-material.html

it looks good from the inside but its still 1/2" away (a gap) from the back framed wall (because it does not cut out the back drywall)

Do not push the half wall into the corner as one continuous object because the program tries to merge the framing and doubles the drywall. Instead draw the half wall as a separate wall segment that stops just short of the intersecting wall, then use the join or break wall tool to cleanly connect them without structural merging. After that open the wall specification and set the end condition to a butt joint or manual connection so it keeps the correct 2x12 thickness only where you want it and does not auto build the extra stud wall up to the ceiling. This keeps the ledge independent and prevents the doubled layers.

Hi Loyd Good Morning

When I use the end condition tool it will remove the stud but the best it can do is both walls still have the drywall attached (its 1/2 away from studs)

and that got me thinking not even to try a wider one made out of 2x4 (chief architect can't handle out of the norm objects) except building then manually
