Brady33
Project export and screen shots Good day, I'm a builder and draft my own work. I'm trying to streamline getting the data for my site work of laying out foundations. I use a theodolite with DMS and a tape to lay out the footings and then pin the block corners for my masons. Assembling the data to do this is cumbersome. On the foundation layer I use a CAD line to draw from XY 0,0 to all the corners of the foundation block. A CAD line easily presents the distance and angle but doesn't seem to have information that can extrapolated to a schedule. The first question is: Can that be done? Can I build a schedule to get CAD Line's information? I've tried using a general framing member and can get the formatted distance into the schedule but I can't figure out the macro to get angle into the schedule. There is clearly Angle information for general framing members (as seen in the screen shot), but if I run a Object Properties macro on the framing member, there is no "angle" macro. Object Properties on a CAD line results in evaluation error. I've included the pictures and .caproj in the link as it's too large to upload directly. Thanks for your time and consideration. DBCooper
You might be able to get what you want easier using a "room divider" instead of a cad line or framing member. I just made some room dividers and marked them as "no room def" and then put the length and angle in the label.
Brady33
Thanks Coop. We also figured out sprinklers work. Fun fact: 8yo Brian Ingram, the kid that found some of DB Cooper's cash in 1980, lives in the same town as me, Mena, AR. He's doing well, lays flooring for a living and still gets contracted to go to events and show off a few burnt bills the FBI let him keep.
Brady33
Update. I still can't get the Angle information into a schedule unless it's on a 2D Symbol. Then the line is so small you can't see the angle on it. You can't use a Room Divider as it's snap and connects to a wall. The line needs to snap to a foundation/block corner to give correct length and DMS.

You can use notes, they publish their xy position, then interpolate length and angle with macros
