duplicate dimensions when auto interior dimensions are created in X7

Why am i getting so many duplicate interior dimensions with auto interior dimensions?  I'm using X7

I don't know, it depends on what you have done. Your file appears to be working correctly in version X7.

 

X7 Automatic Interior Dimensions always produced duplicates within rooms, however you do have a few non-factory duplicate dimension strings in your plan. One of those duplicates appears in its automatic location, the other is in a different location. You may have moved or edited some of the automatic dimensions, and then clicked on Auto Interior Dimensions again, which will produce duplicates of any dimension strings that were moved or edited.

 

Automatic Interior Dimensions is functioning correctly for how it was designed in v X7. Yes, it produces a lot of dimensions. The process for dealing with this is to only use the command one time, then clean up whatever needs changed, and don't use the command again. Or, if you want to regenerate automatic interior dimensions after making changes, first go to Edit > Delete Objects... and select All Rooms, CAD, Automatic Dimensions and delete them.
