Elevation text and dimensions moving when "Reverse Plan" tool is used

Good Afternoon,

I've noticed that frequently when I use the "reverse plan" tool, it causes text and dimensions in my exterior elevation cameras to move drastically, making me have to use the ctrl+F function to find the text and drag it all the way back into the right place. This often affects all four elevation cameras, not just the front and rear.

I will have a text box centered on the left wall of the house, and after using the reverse plan tool, those text boxes are moved dramatically to the front or back of the house along the Y axis. This makes no sense to me, as it's my understanding that reversing the plan essentially flips it across the y-axis, so there should be nothing causing those text boxes to move "up" or "down" along the y-axis.

Can anyone who has run into this before or who has a better understanding of the Reverse Plan tool help me make some sense of this?

I don't use the reverse plan tool.  I think it causes more problems than it solves and you'll be chasing those problems over and over. A better approach is to use Edit Area All and Reflect about a line centered on the plan.

For instance, if you want to reverse the plan horizontally, draw a line on the left and right side of the plan.  Be sure to include dimension lines.  I space the line 12' (or as needed, the same dimension for both sides) from each wall.  Draw a line through the center of the plan and centered between the two side lines.  If everything is centered, the flip will be centered so you won't have to relocate elevation text and dimensions.  Using Edit Area All, draw your 'box' from the left line to the right line so you're picking up the entire contents.  Click Reflect About on the Edit Toolbar, then click the center line. The plan will flip within the same footprint.

You can also use Transform/Replicate without the center line.
