4hotshoez
1. What is the best way to share interior wall elevations to Autocad users? 2. Also, Can I turn a cross-section/elevation into a 2D line drawing and place an un-linked line drawing back into Chief as a Cad detail? There are some anomalies in the building elevation that might be easier to fix if 2D.
Joe_Carrick
1. Export to DWG 2. CAD Detail from View - but I personally don't like to do that unless absolutely necessary. Any future changes to the model will not be reflected in the CAD Detail.
4hotshoez
I found a solution to one of my problems. There is a 1x8 band that separates the 1st and 2nd floors, but Chief does not draw the separation where I need it, because both floors have different types of siding material. So some of the 1st floor siding material was showing above the band. But I found that I can edit the wall joint in an elevation view and pull them both down to the top of the band. Cool!
