Shadowing fences

I am trying to display fence shadows as well as the house in the plan view, but the 'Make Shadow' icon button only produces the shadow for the main structure. In the 3D view, all the shadows (including fences) are shown, but only the 'make shadow' as hatched areas for the main house structure is displayed.

 

Can adjust preferences, etc, to how all shadows, including fences, in the plan view?

Chief does not generate cad shadows for the fences as they are just walls set to follow the slope of the terrain and normally don't form "rooms". You can just do manual cad shadows using a cad shadow template for the fences and things like un-modelled neighbouring properties.

Try temporarily changing the fence into a solid railing.  You will need to make it form a room and be sure and set the height to what you want and then you can make the shadows for it.  The shadows should stay when you change it back.
