DriftingNotLost
Okay... like ... what is going on? why are my doors floating above the ground? Why won't my exterior stairs touch the ground? This must be the easiest thing possible but I have no idea what is going on. I am new to this software and I am trying to learn the best I can, so please help and please be nice. Thanks. I appreciate you all. Also, how do I design a second story deck with a covered porch where everything just makes sense. It is not intuitive in the software. Thank you. richoffan
Ditto what Susan says. The immediate problem is in the terrain spec. EVErything is based off first floor. You can adjust the height of terrain below the first floor subfloor in the terrain specification. Yours's appears to be at the default. Bringing grade to the door sill without a stoop would require alternate construction technique such as reverse brick ledge or joists hung inside the foundation. Many jurisdictions require an impervious pad outside the door.
Renerabbitt
23 hours ago, DriftingNotLost said: what is going on? why are my doors floating above the ground? you have a floor structure, by default this is stem wall construction, so your floor structure would be above ground, and you would have clearance to grade, and also your stem wall would have 8" clear. So in stem wall construction, your doors are exactly where they should be. Are you trying to design a monoslab?
