If that is the one out of Chief's library, try typing in -45 for the angle.  For some reason it needs to be a negative number to get it to turn.

thanks that helped so much.  I found the "Adjust Material Selections" button on the tool bar. Then clicked on the tile, and voila, there was the spot to change the angle.  Perfect. thanks so much for taking a minute answer my question.

Elliot,

Have you tried the Substance Player for creating custom tile?  It's an amazing tool that allows you to create custom tile and I've used it quite a bit.  For example, I'm currently working on a bathroom that needs a 12x24 or 18x36 tile set in a herringbone pattern.  I used the Substance Player to create a tile that I was able to size up to that large format while keeping the grout lines in proportion and I was able to get the color I wanted for both the tile and the grout.

That sounds like just what I need. But please pardon my ignorance. Tell me where to find Substance Player. I looked through all the menus on CA16 and did a search on the reference manual for CA16. But I cannot find it anywhere!

thanks

Hi Eliot,

Clicking on this photo of blue hex tile will also take you to where you need to go for more info about the Substance Player.  Be sure to watch the videos in the link - they are very helpful.

In this link you'll see 3 videos listed and after the last one you'll see Substance Player (Download) and then Chief_Architect_Tile_Builder.sbsar.  Those are the two things you need to get started.  See my attached screen shot so you know what you're looking for.
