decorators3
I've attached a really simple plan just to show there is no curb cut for driveways or sidewalks. can anyone let me know why this is happening. I'm working on a 3 complex project with 6 units in each but not showing any curb cuts thanks in advance Levinafor CA CHIEF TALK.plan for CA CHIEF TALK.plan Edited Friday at 01:16 PM by decorators3 plan

PitMan71
1 minute ago, decorators3 said: yes,, but cant seem to get it,, maybe its my defaults etc,, I did have to finagle things a bit. 1. pulled back sidewalk AND pulled drive through to curb. 2. Intersected sidewalk on each side of the drive. In camera view I did have to pull the walk over the curb a bit to force it to merge with the drive cut-out. THEN went bak to the plan to square things up. Once I got the first side, I mirrored the walk to the other side and repeated the process. Hope this helps.

Chief is still unpredictable with curbs and automatically joining to roads and stuff. I take a different approach. I use a road with no curbs. Then I use a molding polyline to create the curb. This way I have complete control of how the curb is shaped in 3D space, independently of those dumb roads. On occasion I even have to use a slab for the road to avoid issues with complex intersections etc.
