Flush Eaves

Does anybody know why sometimes Chief draws the roof as a boxed eave, even when I choose "Boxed Eave/ Flush Eave"?  These images are of two different ends of the house; same roof plane.  The one on the left is incorrectly drawing it as a regular boxed eave.  The one on the right is correct, as a flush eave.  I've tried deleting the roof and forcing a rebuild, to no avail.  Is there a setting in the wall dialog that dictates this?
