DRyeHD
I've got another problem with a plan I'm working on. Per the attachment, I can't get the roof to pull up against an exterior wall. I put a break on both planes and can pull the top part in but not the very bottom. I see what looks like a ceiling plane on the back side and I think this may be the problem but I can't figure out how to fix it. I've attached the .pln file if anyone can give me some input. Solution CharlesVolz Posted Thursday at 11:32 PM Solution Share Posted Thursday at 11:32 PM Try this... I just turned on the Default Wall Heights for the adjacent wall and the attic wall above. If you want the lower wall brick to end at a lower height, make it a pony wall. Brunk3 CV1.zip
DRyeHD
@CharlesVolz thanks for the input. I had used the Reset To Defaults tool but maybe that doesn't catch the attic walls? I also cleaned up that attic wall to make it one continuous wall (see attached). But I noticed in yours that you can only bring the roof down to the outside brick line. If you try to pull it all the way down, CA pulls the roof line back from the roof all the way up. Anyway, thanks for the solution. I'll know what to do if this happens again. You cannot bring the roof plane through part of a wall. A roof plane and its structure will only go to the outside surface of a wall. You can make the lower wall a party wall as mentioned. "Reset To Defaults" tool does work but you have to re-frame your walls or have auto-framing on or just open the wall DBX and close it.
