computer crashing when I do a Ray Trace

I am having a computer issue where when I do a RayTrace it crashes.  I have my computer on a battery backup and it takes only a few seconds and it crashes when I start the RayTrace.  I have a 650 watt Power supply and a 4070 Card, is it just taking up too much power and crashes?  I would really like to run nice RayTrace for my client but just can't do it.

Assuming you are trying to use the real time raytracing using your video card and not the CPU raytrace, this tech article might help:
