DH7777
Hello, I’m currently working on a client remodel and need to relocate a newly designed covered porch. I started by removing the roofs, but the gutters are still showing up in the design. I’m unable to select them to open the dialog box for adjustments. This issue has happened to me before, and I had to redo the entire structure (fortunately, it was a simpler design at the time). However, this project is different, and I really don’t want to start from scratch again over two gutters. I suspect the problem may have originated when I switched the gutters to a style from the default library. They look great, but now they seem to have become a permanent fixture in the renderings and while working on the plan in workspace. Any insight or suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. I’ve attached some pictures to help illustrate the issue. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attach the plan file as it’s too large to upload. Thank you in advance!
Solution MoeGia Posted Saturday at 01:46 PM Solution Share Posted Saturday at 01:46 PM They are probably on the molding layer and not part of the roof. In the roof dialog you can change the gutter profile and they will always follow the roof plans. If you manually selected and changed the gutters, they are no longer part of the roof plane. While in your 3D view, go to the active layers display dialog, and unlock the molding layer, you should be able to select and delete the unwanted gutters. If that doesn't do it, try the same with the millwork layer. I'm not at my computer to confirm the layer.
