Drew-PRH
Good day, I need to do a renovation on an existing home which I have the PDF prints of to place into Chief to draw. The home has varying interior ceiling heights. Most of the home has 10' ceilings. The living has 15' a ceiling - which is lower than the adjacent Master Bedroom wall it joins to. The question is: is it best to just make the living have a 15' ceiling, or do a second story with a shorter ceiling? Not sure which may be best? Thanks - Drew
Drew-PRH
I'll keep it easy and just make the living 15' ceiling with single story to the left and two story on the right.
mtldesigns
@Drew-PRH Going easy is always the best. This is pretty cool house actually, don't get much of these types here in FL. Happy New Year!

Up here in the panhandle, most houses are Hardie and some type of stone. Not all, but most, maybe the hodgepodge of different materials was eye appealing. Yes, I suppose with the vastly available architecture and design, everyone can have a flavor they can enjoy. It's nice, but not my first choice. It is unique. I was told the original builder/homeowner was from Europe and, from what I understand, imported much interior materials such as 1-1/2" thick black polished stone from Romania for some flooring, repurposed solid oak hand hewn floors from a salvaged barn somewhere for flooring also, and two bathtubs carved from stone which needed a crane to install, interior walls are all plaster, exterior stucco and stone. As well as an interesting AGA cast iron gas range with 4 oven doors. Different tastes for all I suppose.
