Gable wall over deck railing

I am trying to get this gable wall right above the deck ceiling.  The deck is built with "flat ceiling over this room" 

 

I added a wall on the Attic floor but it does not meet the ceiling below.  Ideas?

I think I worked it out, I added a 3D solid to fill the void (ceiling framing area).  Is that the right approach?

@BenLondon It looks like you probably used interior railings to create your deck so it's not actually a deck "room". You should be able to open up your deck room and change it to a deck. Then check the ceiling height of the deck room to make sure it matches the other rooms under your roof, and then make sure the roof and flat ceiling over room boxes are check. I think this would take care of it for you.

Try building the floor, wall and ceiling framing.  Don't turn on the framing layers in the current view.  I think it will build out correctly.

Also try posting the plan file to this forum.  Often someone will take a crack at fixing the problem and letting you know what went wrong

Try changing it from a deck to a porch.
