AdamEdgar
hi guys, i need to apply a wainscot in chief I want to copy the material i have from a photo taken of a house we are planning on purchasing as we want to see what it would look like inside the house if we painted the lower section of the wall keeping the existing finish in place or, perhaps removed it altogether and went back to normal wall sheet. 1. My understanding is that in the chief, the easiest way to do this is to use a kitchen cabinets...is that the best method or is there a better way for this application? 2. Whatever the suggestion, i would like some pointers on the method for achieving the look below.
Rich_Winsor
I used a Chair Molding and a Base Molding to establish the top and bottom rails and then used Wall Material Regions and the Multi Copy Tool to create the wooden panels. I'm not proficient enough with Cabinets to use them although the wainscot in Chief's Library uses them.
Joe_Carrick
I use the Room Molding Polyline (set the height at +24" so openings will be intersected) with: Base Molding Chair Rail Panels (could be 3D Millwork with a repeat distance - or just a 1/4"x36" molding with a texture) Wall Material Regions are another possibility
