Teapot
Apologies if this has been answered numerous times before... If I were to upgrade to Chief Architect Premier annual subscription, but then feel a year down the line that its not worth the money, is it possible to cancel the subscription and revert back to the previous x12 version which of course does not require further payment? Thanks
DBCooper
You should be able to keep running X12 as long as you want and as long as your computer is able to. What you can't do is take any of your new plans done in X16 and then open them back up in X12.

Thanks Like @DBCooperstated. Yes, you can start and stop your subscription as you see fit. Opening and saving a file in X16 for example will make that file inaccessible to anything X15 and older (including X12)... additionally anything you draw in a newer version can't be access if you don't have an active subscription. Meaning, if you upgrade to X16 and use it for a year under an active subscription, then cancel - your can no longer open X16 or any files associated with it. Teapot
DBCooper and DeLayDesign thank you both for answering the query and for pointing out the risks. Really helpful.
