Omnidesign
Hi I'm having issues with my split level landing. It's a bungalow and the entrance is at level 0, there is 5 stairs going up to the main floor and 8 stairs going down to the basement. The landing ceiling height is at 11'-4", on the main floor ceiling height is 7'-11" and the basement height is 8'-3". Do I need to define the ceiling height of the staircase by adding a wall to create a room specification? Hope someone can help me out! Thank you, Valdyne 2406_flip_new layout.zip

If you create the stairwell with a room which includes, not only your steps but also includes the landing then, the open-below room will have the default ceiling height of your 1st floor, so there’s nothin to do beyond that. The landing gets adjusted when properly snapped to the two stair runs. The other way is to use a separate room to define the landing, and another room with an open-below room for the 2 stair runs. You would then drop the floor level of the landing room to the height you need to accommodate the stairs. With either option you’re never adjusting the ceiling height.
