Wall Cabinet Question - Floating Shelves

Good morning,

 

I'm modeling some open (floating) shelves in front of a kitchen window.  It occurred to me that doing this with a modified wall cabinet might be a good solution as it conveniently treats the shelves as one unit.

 

So far good results, but how do I get rid of the front vestigial verticals (circled)?  Could not find option in dialog box.
