A_Joseph_PE
I have a really odd situation. I am modeling a "camp" that has some non-traditional framing. There is an overhang of about a foot on a section of the second floor. The two floors have differing heights. When I try to model the overhangs, where there is a first floor below, iCA automatically adjusts the floor under the overhang to the other side (See attached). How can I stop that automatic floor change? CA allows my differing floor heights in adjacent rooms. When I try to frame the overhang on the side with the room below adjacent... Ceiling automatically adjusts to the adjacent ceiling height. Thanks in advance for the help. I am sure it is something simple. \ Ceiling Height Question.zip
SHCanada2
normally I would put in a room below the cant (then set walls to invisible) in this case there is an empty space so not sure. you could do that plus add a ceiling plane at no pitch (to prevent the invisible wall from going straight up to the platform as its room height matches the one on the left), then extend the roof under. but the cant wall wants to build down to match. I tried pulling the wall up, but the rim joist always shows. someone probably has a better idea
