Jackstacey
Good Evening all. I have an issue trying to get the setting correct for a 'CPU Ray Trace' of a night shot of the external of the project. I have attached a image using GPU Ray trace that I am quick happy with. As soon as I use the CPU Trace, as I need it in high resolution for an advertising board the image is too dark, or too light. I'm hoping some one has a set of parameters that will work when Setting up a CPU ray trace? (I know I have a little tidying up to do on the lighting before I use it.) Thanks in advance for your help
ericepv
Open the DBX for "Adjust Sunlight' and change the color ('Lighting Data' tab) to an appropriate shade of blue.
ProPlan_2011
I never thought of playing with the color to adjust the exterior lighting, but you're right, you can simulate night time with the sunlight by tweaking the color. Not perfect (you see the daytime shadows), but close enough if 'toggle sunlight' is not optimal.
