Hatch Direction Question

Are Chief wall plan hatch directions always based on the direction of the wall?  See masonry wall snapshot below.

 

Is there an option to set the hatch direction so it is fixed "globally" in one direction like hand-drafting?

 

 

P.S. I first thought that Chief hatch directions might be always object based, but I did a little test with a hatched polyline box.  The hatch patterns there seem to behave "globally".

I don't think so but if you are using the Wall Hatching tool?  you can open the Hatch ( Tab In after selecting wall ) and switch it from say Hatch angle 2 to Hatch angle
