BruceKC
Quite often when I'm looking at a plan, and have the reference display on, most of the referenced walls above or below show up in red as they should, but some are just simply not there at all. I have no clue why this is happening.
TopagnaOverlook
Is the "missing" referenced wall on a layer that is not a member of the "Reference Display Layer Set"?
BruceKC
I just checked and all walls are on drawing group "defalut 27-wall", and all the other walls show, just not this one.
BruceKC
Hmm....just realized that it's a pony wall above, but still not sure why that would not allow it to display.
BruceKC
Here is the plan file, it's just the pony walls that aren't displaying in reference display on the foundation. 528511289_2022-28-BMcCownRanch.plan
TopagnaOverlook
I was able to replicate your issue with an exterior pony wall but only if the upper and lower were both the same type.
DBCooper
Try turning off the XOR option. I think your pony walls are erasing themselves.
BruceKC
I don't know what the xor option is, but turning it off solved the problem. Thanks, now I need to look up what the xor means. Thanks everyone.
TopagnaOverlook
XOR is a mnemonic for "Exclusive Or". It is a logical operation with the following truth table: True XOR True = False True XOR False = True False XOR True = True False XOR False = False True and False can represent On and Off. In other words, If both operands are the same, the result is off (invisible in this case). XOR in other use cases can be used to "flip" the bits in a set: True False True XOR TRUE TRUE TRUE = False True False In this case, the second argument TRUE TRUE TRUE means flip all 3 bits. 1
DBCooper
XOR, according to the program help: XOR drawing changes the color of lines in the Reference Floor Display when they are drawn on top of lines on the Current Floor. If the lines have identical properties, they are not drawn at all. When this is unchecked, the Reference Display color does not change, and identical lines are not suppressed.
