chiefuserjune
I'm aware that this subject has been covered before but I couldn't work it out. In the uk, the masonry cavity walls allows for a deep reveal internally and the doors and windows are usually set in around 40mm (a couple of inches) from the outside face of brickwork. I can achieve a flush look, but the door swing is then left open on the outside of the building. How can I have the door opening inward and the door placement more aligned to the outer brick leaf? Also if you look at the sill, the internal floor finish is showing. I've played around with the internal and external sill but can't solve this either. Any point in the right direction is grately appreciated. Thank you.
chiefuserjune
Thank you. I'm using Version X14. As you can see by changing the door swing to open outward the door now looks great from this view, but I need an inward opening door.
glennw
Can you post a cad detail sketch of what you are trying to achieve - your description is a bit hard to follow.
gelbuilding
I think this is what you want. What you asking does not work. The door has to finish flush with the inside otherwise the door will bind when you open the door on the inside edge.
